   I think Telnet is used most, but it may vary from one BBS to another. Due to   
   the nature of web browsers (creating multiple HTTP connections per page   
   request) and modern Web UI maintaining sessions, it may appear that there's   
   more HTTP/HTTPS use of a Synchronet system, but gauging by the posted   
   *content* (e.g. messages) on a BBS, they mostly come in via Telnet. Still,   
   many of those may come via the web sockets proxy to Telnet, which would mean   
   the end user is actually use a web browser.
