That feature was removed since web browsers stopped rendering       HTML files sent via FTP quite long time ago now.               > Is there a way to share a web URL when someone downloads, vs using a        > protocol? To facilitate a web download for large files?              Yeah, I'm working on a way to make that easy for sysops.               > I'm using webv4, I've not heard of webfileindex. So I guess I probably, do        > have web URLs for my files; but didn't know if there was a way to turn on        > that feature for downloads from the terminal server, or if it might be        > considered a feature to add.              Yeah, it's a pretty simple addition to just display a URL. The user will have       to copy/paste from the terminal into a browser (unless their terminal has       support for clicking on URLs).              Technically, the webfileindex isn't needed for sending files via HTTP/HTTPS       either, just the Enabling of "Filebase support" in SCFG->Servers->Web Server.       The webfileindex is just a(nother) way to display indexes (directories) of       files to users with file descriptions and such. It's enabled by default in new       installs of v3.20:              É[þ][?]ÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍ»       º Web Server Filebase Support º       ÌÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍ͹       º ³Enabled Yes º       º ³Index Script webfileindex.ssjs º       º ³VPath Prefix /files/ º       º ³VPath for VHosts N/A º       ÈÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍͼ              This is separate from the ecWebv4 method of sending files via http/https.       --         digital man (rob)              Synchronet "Real Fact" #81:       Vertrauen has had the FidoNet node number 1:103/705 since 1992       Norco, CA WX: 66.5øF, 33.0% humidity, 2 mph W wind, 0.00 inches rain/24hrs       --- SBBSecho 3.23-Linux        * Origin: Vertrauen - [vert/cvs/bbs].synchro.net (1:103/705)       SEEN-BY: 1/19 16/0 19/37 40 103/705 105/81 106/201 123/130 124/5016       SEEN-BY: 128/187 142/104 153/757 7715 154/10 30 203/0 218/700 221/0       SEEN-BY: 221/1 6 242 226/30 227/114 229/110 114 206 317 400 426 428       SEEN-BY: 229/470 550 700 705 240/1120 5832 266/512 280/464 5003 5006       SEEN-BY: 282/1038 291/111 292/8125 301/1 310/31 320/119 219 319 2119       SEEN-BY: 322/757 762 326/101 341/66 234 342/200 396/45 423/81 120       SEEN-BY: 460/58 467/888 633/280 712/848 770/1 902/26 5020/400 5075/35       PATH: 103/705 280/464 221/1 320/219 229/426           |
