So maybe it fixed itself.               R> 10/27 09:58:56a BINKPOLL Connection to f100.n1.z21.fsxnet.nz:24554        R> failed (Error: This is usually a temporary error during hostname        R> resolution and means that the local server did not receive a        R> response from an authoritative server. ).              This could mean that the binkp.net f.n.z host (I believe it is hosted in       Fidonet zone 2) was down. To be honest, I never thought it was a good idea to       rely on this for anything. Making direct links to the systems you want to       connect to is a much better method.              Sometimes it's not Synchronet BBS's fault. You're connecting to other       systems that may have issues as well.              Avon mentioned he was going to be away for a couple weeks, whether it be       personal or business, but it's quite possible his system stopped       answering, or his DNS provider was down for 24 hours, or the binkp.net thing       was down. There's many reasons, but it probably wasn't your system that was       the problem.              It's not always you and/or the system you're running. Sometimes you need       to just be patient and wait for things to clear up on it's own.              Regards,       Nick              ... Take my advice, I don't use it anyway.       --- Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:128.0) Gecko/20100101 Thunderb        * Origin: The Pharcyde ~ telnet://bbs.pharcyde.org (Wisconsin) (1:154/10)       SEEN-BY: 90/1 103/705 104/119 105/81 106/201 123/10 124/5016 128/187       SEEN-BY: 129/215 153/757 7715 154/10 30 50 700 203/0 218/700 220/90       SEEN-BY: 221/0 6 226/18 30 44 50 227/114 229/110 114 206 310 317 400       SEEN-BY: 229/426 428 470 550 700 705 240/1120 5832 266/512 280/464       SEEN-BY: 280/5003 5006 282/1038 291/111 292/8125 301/1 310/31 320/219       SEEN-BY: 322/757 341/66 234 342/200 396/45 423/120 460/58 256 1124       SEEN-BY: 467/888 633/280 712/848 770/1 2320/105 3634/12 5020/400 5054/30       SEEN-BY: 5075/35       PATH: 154/10 280/464 460/58 229/426           |
