AH>Hi, Daryl! Awhile ago you wrote in a message to Ardith Hinton:              Hi, Ardith...              AH>I know other folks in the 50+ crowd who have had part of the prostate       AH>removed. If that's what your urologist recommends I'm sure at least one of        AH>guys here would be willing to discuss the pros & cons with you. :-)               They also talked about the "green light procedure", where a small       portion at the center of the prostate is removed, for urine to more       easily exit the bladder, and out of the body through the urethra and the       penis. I have a KUB (kidney, ureter, bladder) check done once a year, to       be sure there are no new kidney stones.              AH>Ah. Conserving heat, I suppose... as do the blood vessels & at least       AH>one part of the anatomy which is unique to males! I hadn't heard the situat       AH>explained that way until now. I was under the impression it was more common       AH>females because I've had the same problem since I was pregnant with Nora. :               With women, it's a "straight shot" out of the bladder through the       urethra. With men, it has to work through the prostate, then through the       urethra, and out the penis.              AH>Uh-huh. One can't be sure nowadays that Dick & Jane & their 2.3 kids               I have to wonder how they keep things straight...although I heard that       one woman tattooed a butterfly on either the right or left buttock cheek       of her twin daughters when they got old enough to have the procedure       done. That way, she could tell them apart.              AH>I take it you live in the US, where many carbonated beverages seem to       AH>have caffeine added. In this country Sprite, 7-Up, Mountain Dew, etc. do *n       AH>include caffeine. And Fresca, brought to us by the same company which suppl       AH>Coca-Cola, contains neither sugar nor caffeine... it does contain aspartame.       AH>can't help thinking at times that it must be one of Canada's best-kept secre       AH>however, judging by the reaction I get when I take it to the cash desk....                I do live in the U.S. (now in Little Rock, Arkansas, but originally       from Hialeah, Florida...just northwest of Miami). I've gotten away from       caffeine. I used to drink ice tea by the bucketful, but since they said       that the oxylates in it, and in chocolate, can lead to kidney stones, I       RARELY drink caffeineated beverages anymore. However, I will have a       Coca-Cola, or a chocolate chip cookie or two, or even a Neopolitan Ice       Cream Sandwich on occasion...but it has been over 4 years since I       regularly ate candy. And, I never acquired a taste for coffee.              AH>Do they? Okay... let me guess! There are certain set procedures for               I won't get into a "politics/death penalty" debate here, but they've       had so much trouble with the execution procedures with the lethal       injections lately, that some states are trying to go to other methods.       But, that's a topic for another echo. :)              Daryl       ---        þ OLX 1.53 þ Insert Disk 5 Of 4, and Press Any Key To Continue.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    --- Virtual Advanced Ver 2 for DOS         * ORIGIN: The Thunderbolt BBS - wx1der.dyndns.org (1:19/33)           |
