My father in law had a scanner sitting       by his chair for as long as I knew him. It was replaced and       upgraded over the years, but was there in 1983 when I started       dating my wife and was there in June of 2023 when he died       in the chair.              Over that time a lot of the departments went digital and       he couldn't hear them anymore, but he still kept it going.              I gave him some frequencies of repeaters to put in for       HAM traffic, but local stuff is so sporadic...              I will be putting his 40' tower with antennas to good       use soon. I'm getting BACK into HAM and want a unit       at home. I'll not be using his antennas, of course, unless       I can modify for ham use? HMMM...              Jimmy                                   ... I'm not paranoid! Which of my enemies told you this?       --- MultiMail/Mac v0.52        * Origin: Digital Distortion: digitaldistortionbbs.com (1:105/7)       SEEN-BY: 90/1 105/7 10 11 44 81 500 106/201 128/260 135/220 225 153/7715       SEEN-BY: 218/700 226/30 227/114 229/110 111 112 113 200 206 300 317       SEEN-BY: 229/400 426 428 470 664 700 282/1038 291/111 320/219 322/757       SEEN-BY: 342/200 396/45 460/58 712/848 5020/400 5075/35       PATH: 105/7 81 229/426           |
