      TZUTC: -0500       MSGID: 37304.fido-recipes@1:3634/12 2bbf41e3       PID: Synchronet 3.18a-Linux May 23 2020 GCC 7.5.0       TID: SBBSecho 3.11-Linux r3.173 May 23 2020 GCC 7.5.0       CHRS: UTF-8 4       MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06                Title: Turtle Candy        Categories: Candy, Dairy, Nuts, Chocolate        Yield: 48 servings                1 lb Pecan halves, toasted        14 oz Sweetened condensed milk        3/4 c Light corn syrup        1/2 c Sugar        1/3 c (packed) brown sugar        1/4 c Butter; in cubes        1 1/2 ts Vanilla extract        1 lb Milk chocolate candy        - coating; chopped        Flaked sea salt; opt                On waxed paper-lined baking sheets, arrange pecans in        small clusters of 4-5 pecans each.                For caramel, in a small saucepan, combine the milk, corn        syrup and sugars. Cook and stir over medium heat until a        candy thermometer reads 238ºF/114ºC (soft-ball stage).        Remove from the heat. Stir in butter and vanilla.        Working quickly, spoon caramel onto pecan clusters. Let        stand until set.                In a microwave, melt candy coating; stir until smooth.        Spoon over caramel. If desired, top with flake sea salt.        Chill for 10 minutes or until set.
