      CHRS: CP437 2       MSGID: 1:18/200@fidonet 66898882       PID: MBSE-BBS 1.1.0 (Linux-x86_64)       TZUTC: -0400       TID: MBSE-FIDO 1.1.0 (Linux-x86_64)       MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06                Title: Glazed Smoked Chops w/Pears        Categories: Pork, Vegetbles, Fruits        Yield: 4 servings                4 Smoked, boneless pork chops        1 tb Olive oil        1 lg Sweet onion; in thin wedges        1/2 c Dry red wine        +=OR=+        1/2 c Chicken broth        2 tb Balsamic vinegar        2 tb Honey        2 lg Ripe pears; in 1" wedges                Set oven @ 350ºF/175ºC.                In an ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat, brown        pork chops on both sides; remove from pan.                In same pan, heat oil over medium heat; saute onion        until tender, 3-5 minutes. Add wine/broth, vinegar and honey;        bring to a boil, stirring to loosen browned bits from        pan. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, until slightly        thickened, about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.                Return chops to pan; top with pears.
