The other Italian Anna  - professional translator who lived in Dublin, told
the story here of how she gained a reputation for great erudition in
Ireland.

Every time she ran out of vocabulary she used her best guess by taking an
Italian word and Englishing it which usually gave a real but Latinate and
quite often rare word.
