Hi Nicky,

I've gone back to university (for Geology and Technical Writing) so there's
not much story writing that happens during the school year. I am writing more
than I used to, though. I've got a couple of WIP, but what I'm doing mostly
is editing and
rewriting some of my older short stories and fixing them up with cover art and
typesetting it all with InDesign. My goal with that is to use them as demo
booklets for copyediting and book design.

I do seem to have passed some sort of writing threshold. Before when I looked
at written stories they seemed sort of set in stone. Now I look at them and I
can see why they aren't good and what they need to actually work. At least I
think so! And I
don't think it's just a matter of time passing for the older stories because
my new writing is the same.

I don't have anything ready to self-publish, but that's my goal at this point.

-Julie
