   Another real-world example: smoke detectors sounding warnings about   
   low battery voltage in the wee hours of a winter morning. If you don?t   
   get up and see to it then, by the time the sun comes up, the beeping   
   will have stopped, and you will have no idea which detector needs its   
   battery replaced.
