   It's quite hard to tell from just city names and locations in many   
   places, because the Milwaukee Road and Northern Pacific shared so many   
   key locations until the Milwaukee got further west, and took a direct   
   route to Seattle where the NP went south to Pasco and stayed south until   
   Tacoma.   
      
   I do remember there being a bit of a fight by one of the logging   
   companies who wanted to keep part of the Milwaukee active as a logging   
   railroad through parts of Idaho and Montana, and it didn't work out.
