   And most of this was due to a very different flavor of corporate culture back   
   then, compared to now.  There are a number of reason why corporate culture   
   changed in the last 50-60 years.  Part of it was that American culture itself   
   has changed (eg went from a we/us/our to a I/me/mine culture, etc.).
