   Tell that to the large numbers of 'former' Americans who have lived in   
   Canada for decades, and are now being hounded to fess up on their   
   earnings/file returns after the IRS was ordered to grab moneys from   
   abroad.   
      
   The simplest way to get out of it is to appear at a consulate and   
   renounce...
