   It was a bit more complicated than that.  Some cities used local time,   
   while others used the time of a nearby large city.  Supposedly,   
   somewhere there are early timetables showing trains leaving   
   Philadelphia, and arriving in several towns before they left the   
   previous one due to several of the towns using Philadelphia time rather   
   than local time.
