This was one of the fastest trans-Atlantic ships.  Built as a luxury liner   
   under the US flag, it was designed to be fast and easily converted to a   
   troopship in case of war.  It is now rusting away, just a shell, but groups   
   seek to preserve somehow it if    
   they can find the money.
