   I'm going to retract this statement.   
      
   There is some possibility that there was gunfire and that one of the holes   
   in the windshield of the locomotive cab might be a bullet hole. If that's   
   the case, then yes, there is a possibility that the engineer got distracted   
   and became unaware of his location, or wanted to get the hell out of there.
