This assumes that they are going to keep the existing level of service.
It is pretty clear they have plans to expand service, considering that
one reason they are wanting to relocate the station is because the new
location is able to serve two legs of the wye. They show the proposed
second "concourse" in several of their plans on the web site. The
current station only serves one side of the wye.

The station itself really doesn't look to me as though it will be that
expensive to build. The expensive part is going to be the track work,
the access road modifications to improve the parking situation, and the
tunneling under tracks to allow platform access to multiple lines even
when the track closest to the station is occupied.

So, it seems to me most of those costs are going to happen no matter
   what size station they build.
