Old ads refer to "tourist sleeping cars" available at a lower price   
   than regular Pullman cars.   
      
   The following 1947 ad from the Milwaukee Road has them (lower   
   right corner), and they appear to be as nice or even nicer than   
   regular Pullman cars.
