SEPTA has joined NJT in broadcasting pre-recorded safety   
   announcements repeatedly every few minutes.  If you are   
   waiting say 15 minutes for a train, you will hear the   
   same announcement (twice) every three minutes.   
      
   It can drive someone crazy.   
      
   I can understand the desire to remind people of safety   
   or special service issues.  But every three minutes day   
   after day is too much.   
      
   The PA system was invented about 100 years ago.  You'd think   
   by now they'd have it right.
