   WMATA just shut down its pilot program for Near Field payment;   
   maybe lack of interest but also the new GM has his hands full of   
   much bigger issues.   
      
   I keep wondering what the systems are going to offer for those   
   of us who do NOT want any such "feature" & just want a card NOT   
   linked to anything.
