   Even two GG1s (3,450 kW) fall far short of a single Acela (9,200 kW).   
      
   The GG1 could only hit 100 mph because that was before the FRA weight   
   penalty; today, it would probably top out at 60-70 mph.

   We can solve that problem literally overnight; the entire rest of the   
   world uses trains that are gooder, faster _and_ cheaper* than ours, and   
   they'd be happy to sell them here too if the FRA would let them.
