   It will cost in excess of $3 billion. $325 million will come from   
   taxpayers including US DOT, PA, and Amtrak. wtf the PA would participate   
   in Penn Station, I have no idea.   
      
   I love the "train hall" at Farley for New Jersey, Long Island, and Amtrak   
   passengers. Everybody knows that would add an entire block to the walk to   
   the platforms and won't be used as a waiting room. See from the underutilized   
   waiting room in Chicago Union Station which ain't that far away.
