   Here in Chicago, the only flashing light is at a grade crossing. It   
   indicates to the motorman that the grade crossing signals were activated   
   but the gate arm hasn't fully lowered yet.   
      
   We had spacer boards; never heard of another rapid transit system   
   with spacer boards. ATS was railroad style. The cab signals came   
   from the Westinghouse system built for Cleveland!   
      
   Our railcar dimensions are compatible with New York dimensions... from   
   the Victorian era!
