   The overlooking of the Castro brother's executions and other acts once   
   again shows that people excoriate the sins of those whose ideology   
   they disagree with and ignore the sins of those whose ideology they   
   agree with.  Pinochet had his supporters in both the UK and US as well   
   as those firmly opposed.  The point the precedent in relation to   
   peaceful succession is well made.  Would Baby Doc of Haiti have gone   
   peacefully if there had been a chance of prosecution?  It's only the   
   heads of smaller powers who might be vulnerable.
