They're detailed, but very difficult to use, the maps are       very large, and the text very small, and it's necessary to zoom in and out       many times to see both.              Here in the UK there are many different rail atlases available, present day       and at various historical times. These are widely available, not just in       specialised transport bookshops. I thought I would be able to get something       similar in the US, but no        luck.
