From: larry@news.com              XPost: chi.general, sac.politics, stl.general       XPost: alt.fan.rush-limbaugh              WILMINGTON, IL – An Amtrak crash in northern Illinois is       effecting service for passengers from St. Louis. FOX 2 has       learned that a train that left St. Louis Friday morning is now       coupled to the one involved in the wreck and still on its way to       Chicago.              There were no serious injuries after an Amtrak train from San       Antonio slammed into a tractor trailer at a crossing in       Wilmington.              The crash happened Friday afternoon about an hour south of       Chicago. The trailer flipped, spilling debris along the tracks.       Passengers on the train involved in the crash were apparently       put on buses and taken to Chicago.              Our newsroom has received several calls from people on the other       train that left Friday morning. They say there are unacceptable       conditions on the train.              An Amtrak spokesperson says the 302 train with 258 people on       board was delayed several hours earlier Friday, unrelated to the       crash. Now, the train is attached to the accident train and       making its way to Chicago. They are nearly 10 hours late       according to the Amtrak website.              The Amtrak spokesperson says the situation is a terrible       inconvenience and that what passengers are reportedly       experiencing is not a standard level of service.              No serious injuries have been reported              http://fox2now.com/2015/06/05/amtrak-train-out-of-st-louis-crash-       wilmington-il/              --- SoupGate/W32 v1.03        * Origin: LiveWire BBS -=*=- UseNet FTN Gateway (1:2320/1)    |
