   At Princeton Jct, where the high platforms are about 20 years old, the   
   platform is now about 6" below the level of the train car.  At other stations   
   on _several carriers_, they had to put in step boxes to aid passengers in   
   boarding.  FWIW, Engineers have    
   told me that is due to increased ballast height added over the years.
