   It has been a lot of years since I (informally) studied the Pacific   
   Electric and the street car system (I have forgotten its name--cream and   
   green were its colors) in the Los Angeles area.  I can therefor now   
   swear to the accuracy of this, BUT.....   
      
   My recollection is that the purchase of the street car systems delayed   
   the already-in-process bankruptcies.
