   ACS-64 is an electric locomotive, drawing electricity from overhead   
   wires, so it doesn't have a diesel engine. They can only operate on   
   electrified lines (Amtrak's NE Corridor and Harrisburg lines). The one   
   that you saw was being towed from the assembly plant in California to   
   the NE Corridor behind diesel engines, as it cannot operate under own   
   power on non-electrified lines.
