   Just as stories circulated before and during World War II about murders,   
   rapes, etc., in the concentration camps, so too do stories now circulate in   
   the US about what's going on in the ICE detention camps.   
      
   And yet... none of the policymakers are taking action. There are some protests   
   in the country, but they're mainly protests from people who witnessed   
   something happening in their neighborhoods. There are virtually no protests   
   about how prisoners in ICE detention centers are being murdered or   
   "disappeared." US politicians look the other way.   
      
   I continue to be amazed at how much America today resembles Germany in the   
   1930s.   
      
   How a population that now CAN have all the information consciously chooses to   
   look the other way and keep watching Fox News. In doing so, it consciously   
   turns its back on truth and reality.   
      
   How a channel like Fox News can survive in a society like the US. Even thrive   
   in that society.   
      
   This gives little hope for humanity. As it stands now, our best days as   
   humanity are already behind us. I fear these will be dark times.
