TID: Mystic BBS 1.12 A48       MSGID: 1:267/150 71c1f4cf       REPLY: 1:342/201 e4db1491       TZUTC: -0500       On 09 Nov 2025, Aaron Thomas said the following...                AT> IJ> U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals RULES Schools CANNOT FORCE       Student        AT> IJ> to Use "Preferred Pronouns"        AT>         AT> Great. Now I want to see it get enforced. My kid just took a survey        AT> recently where they asked "What's your gender identity?" and "What's        AT> your preferred pronoun?"       We ALL know of the origin of this is directly tied to the deranged fool(s)       that have a political ideology or agenda that is lock and step with the left       ex: could be any number of them. or they could agree in unison w/ others as a       group within your child's school, thinking that such actions are a good idea,       when they clearly they are not, and not in-line with your family values or       your wishes.              Could be any number of the following: guidance counselor, principal or       another administrator.               I would recommend contacting your school superintendent       and follow up with a letter Demanding w/ strong language that they cease and       desist with this action. Immediately!        cc: your State Senator, commissioner of education at the Federal level.               Don't let it go! It will only grow and spread like rapid unchecked disease.       Attend Public School Board Meetings.        This will inform other parents who might not of known as to what was going       on with this.               Additionally        Request to see the curriculum/materials Ask the school or district to provide       you with the lesson plans or instructional materials that cover gender       identity or related topics.               Ask which grades and which courses these topics are in.        Meet with the teacher/principal Explain your family's values/concerns clearly       and respectfully.               Ask for a pathway or alternative assignment for your child if the topic makes       you uncomfortable. (Naturally it would be uncomfortable to most of us)              (note)       This notion with what they are promoting / teaching and in the most       charismatic of ways within this subject_matter as it is brought forth without       a second thought - being considered as being normal behavior and therefore       accepted. (this is how it happens)        sweeping your parental rights along with your families values right under the       rug...        Tell in them in fact. "I know what you're doing and I also know as to why       you're doing this, I can see right through you, as if you were made of glass.       (that should raise an eyebrow)        (end of note)              For the love of God, make sure that there is an American Flag in your child's        classroom and that the children recite the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.              Ask if there's an option to have the child removed from that specific segment       or given an alternative.              Ask about the district policy Some districts may have more expansive opt-out       policies for health/sex education or family life topics.               Review the district's policy handbook (often available online) under Parent       rights, Opt-out, Health education, etc. Check state & district notice       requirements Ensure you receive any required notification from the school        (for example, on health education programming, surveys).       Without notification, you may have more leverage to ask for exclusion.              Consider alternative schooling If your values and the school's curriculum       diverge substantially and you don't see a workable compromise, you might       consider private school, charter, or homeschooling as alternatives.              Document everything Keep written records of meetings, written requests, school       responses. Having clear written communication helps if you escalate        (to superintendent, board) or need to seek legal advice.              ...
