I agree        AT> to some extent; PBS lost their funding I guess. But we need to do more.              I can't think of much more than making the Elitists pay to prop up a media       source that is only viewed by their brainwashed masses.              Already the legacy media has almost no power to change people's minds anymore.       They are getting sued for defamation and slander - and losing. There was a       time when The View, for example, had to apologize on air for something false       that they said.              Short of something totalatarian, I can't think of much more we can do.               AT> I don't think the Dept. of Ed has been eliminated yet, but supposedly        AT> there have been workforce reductions there, which is a good start.              Their teeth have been pulled. Since Congress created it, only Congress can get       rid of it. And Congress has bigger fish to fry right now.               AT> Is there any legitimate reason for unions (of any sort) to still exist?              No. There was never a legitimate reason for unions to exist past getting       workplace safety standards passed.              Today they are all corrupt, power hungry groups that use workers to have power.               AT> We have laws. If employers don't follow them, they get fined and/or        AT> sued. Isn't that good enough?              It should be. Don't like where you are working? Move to another employer.              That never works with unions because in the free market, they are all worth       less than what they blackmailed out of the companies they currently work for.               AT> Which level of government has the power to stop unions? I'm guessing        AT> it's the state.              I don't know on that one. I know that the Feds have stepped in several times.              But unions have priced themselves out of the market and were a dying group       anyway. Except for public sector unions, which shouldn't exist anyway.               AT> My daughter will finish high school before it ever happens, but I'm        AT> hoping that charter schools become an option for my youngest kid.              It took time for the Elitists to break everything. It will take time to fix it       too.                     ... Memories of you remind me of you.       ___ MultiMail/Linux v0.52              --- Mystic BBS/QWK v1.12 A47 2021/12/25 (Windows/32)        * Origin: cold fusion - cfbbs.net - grand rapids, mi (1:120/616)       SEEN-BY: 1/19 16/0 19/10 37 104/119 105/81 106/201 114/10 120/616       SEEN-BY: 123/130 128/187 129/14 305 142/104 153/757 7715 154/10 30       SEEN-BY: 154/50 110 700 203/0 218/700 840 220/20 30 90 221/1 6 360       SEEN-BY: 226/18 30 44 50 227/114 229/110 206 300 307 310 317 400 426       SEEN-BY: 229/428 470 700 705 240/5832 266/512 280/464 5003 291/111       SEEN-BY: 292/854 301/1 320/119 219 319 2119 322/757 762 326/101 335/364       SEEN-BY: 341/66 234 342/200 396/45 423/81 460/58 633/280 712/848 902/26       SEEN-BY: 2320/105 3634/12 5075/35       PATH: 120/616 154/10 221/6 1 320/219 229/426           |
