The judges ruled two to one that the president has the right to       deploy troops if the local government can no longer guarantee safety.              Now the point is: Trump says Portland is on fire. Meanwhile, there are only       people walking around in frog suits.              So, Trump's lie is enough for two of the three judges to allow soldiers to       enter American cities.              This is yet another step toward Trump's dictatorship.              Now the point is that the judges say the president has the right to do this if       the local authorities cannot guarantee safety. A new lawsuit will undoubtedly       now address whether that unsafety narrative holds water. Is Portland's safety       really at risk? That is highly questionable.              Incidentally, the one judge who opposed this ruling immediately wrote to all       29 judges in the Ninth District, urging them to review what she considers a       deeply flawed ruling.              One of the three judges believes that the president is literally above the       law, is effectively a king, and should not be overturned by courts. This is so       contrary to their constitution.              This story will likely continue.               .       --- SBBSecho 3.30-Linux        * Origin: End Of The Line BBS - endofthelinebbs.com (1:124/5016)       SEEN-BY: 10/0 1 102/401 103/1 705 105/81 106/201 124/0 5016 128/187       SEEN-BY: 129/14 305 153/7715 154/110 214/22 218/0 1 215 601 610 700       SEEN-BY: 218/810 840 860 880 226/30 227/114 229/110 206 300 307 317       SEEN-BY: 229/400 426 428 470 700 705 266/512 280/464 291/111 292/854       SEEN-BY: 301/1 320/219 322/757 342/200 396/45 460/58 633/280 712/848       SEEN-BY: 902/26 5075/35       PATH: 124/5016 218/700 229/426           |
