At this point, that's not something that can be taken seriously as being
realistic NOW. But if relations with Russia don't improve in the coming years,
it's certainly possible that Russia will want to start a war with the West.
Not to occupy Western Europe, but to, for example, still occupy Ukraine,
Moldova, Finland, and the Baltic States. A bit like how they took Crimea from
Ukraine and then essentially confronted the West with a situation that's
   already been resolved.

Does the West really want to start a war if Russia only invades Estonia with
   little green men?

And if they then invade Latvia as well?

   And then Lithuania?

As soon as NATO shows any hesitation in the coming years, Russia will take its
chances. Russia won't invade immediately with an army. They've learned that
lesson. No, they'll use small groups of little green men, just as they did in
eastern Ukraine. They'll make it seem as if the population was revolting. In
Estonia, a third of the population is originally Russian, so how unlikely is
it that some sympathize with the Russians?

Only when unrest has become firmly established in society will they "restore
order." Leaders like Trump and Orbán can then distract and disrupt NATO,
   preventing a NATO response.

Estonia will then be lost, and if NATO sticks to its words, it will become a
stepping stone to a new country.

That's how I personally see the danger of Russia. As long as that country
desires to become even greater, the risk of war will remain. Russia simply
never got past the phase of continuous colonialization. It is and remains a
colonial power that never had to definitively surrender, as the European
powers were forced to do after World War II.
