   Problem is simple... and I have No Clue how to read Cobol... If there are   
   people older than the country itself... Check up on them... A reasonable step   
   to assuring the proper use of a benefit.   
      
   There was waste, fraud and abuse to the Social Security System... No one   
   needed to  know how to read Cobol... The problem was solved by removing   
   offenders from the System and modernizing the System from Cobol to something   
   more modern.

   An April 2024 government report said that there could be $233 billion to $521   
   billion in fraud annually across the federal government, not just mandatory   
   programs including Social Security.   
      
   Government reports have suggested ways for the Social Security Administration   
   to reduce fraud, and many have not been implemented.   
      
   The leading threat to Social Security's long-term viability is a shortage of   
   workers feeding their tax dollars into the system, alongside a growing number   
   of retirement-age Americans qualifying to receive benefits.   
      
      
   SS should be for the people its intended for and not those who scam it... and   
   it could be argued that the Government needs to do whatever it can to prevent   
   that system from fraud because they need to act accordingly wit the Taxpayers   
   money.
