   Not much more to add to what you said.   
      
    Firstly I don't find his statements to be offensive at all, there is enough   
   there to question the narritive of the shooters motives, and who is gaining   
   the most politically out of this.   
      
    IF this was prefuly an ABC decision then it would not have 1st Amendment   
   implications.  "At will employment" and all that.   
      
    However, the threats made to ABCs broadcast licenses, and the implications   
   that those threats were the spark, and the catalyst for his firing definately   
   have freedom of the meida implications.   
      
   Very slippery slope we have found ourselvs sliding down!
