     I am surprised this has not already been posted.   
      
   I find it ironic that both South Korea, and a lot of the Expat English teacher   
   community is up in arms over this.   
      
   South Korea, is one of the most homogenic, xenophobic, and racist countries on   
   the fact of the earth!  It is not uncommon for ethnic groups to be singled   
   out, business unappologetically exclude members of specific races for any   
   excuse they can use ("No Africans" during the Ebola fear, "No Middle   
   Easterners" during MERS, and "No foreigners" during COVID.   
      
   Immigration will begin deportation procedings for any excuse they can, even if   
   your charges were dropped, or you were found not guilty of the crimes you were   
   accused of.  "You would not have been accused if you were not a criminal."   
      
   The English teacher community I can understand, as they are unabashadly far   
   left wing, and love to sit around and complain!  Though as far as Korean's   
   themselves are concerned, saying anything at all is the pot calling the kettle   
   black!   
      
     As long as due process is followed, they are treated humanely while in   
   detention, Korea needs to make sure their house is in order or sit on the   
   sidelines!
