After World War II, the United States was the beacon of freedom. When the UN
was established, it was logical to house the UN in the freest country in the
   world.

   That freedom is gone.

The US is becoming a totalitarian society, where ICE can be compared to the
Gestapo of the Germans. The Gestapo hunted Jews, and ICE hunts migrants from
   Central America.

Your name or appearance is already enough to make you a suspect.

But it's going even further now.

The Palestinian delegation is now not allowed to attend the UN meeting because
a vote is going to take place that the US does not agree with. So they are
   actively interfering with UN matters.

I can't imagine a clearer indication that the US is no longer the right
   location.

Canada would be a good alternative.
