His car       has 260,000 miles on it and the Chevy dealership can never clear the light.               IJ> BTW, I have an older Jeep... I bought one of those decoders on Amazon...        IJ> If and when I get a check engine light come on I can see what's causing        IJ> it.        IJ>         IJ> If it's a stupid sensor you can replace it... OR WAIT THERE'S MORE...        IJ> that little device can cancel the error history and light.              That sounds good, but I'm a cheapskate and I just go to AutoZone and use       theirs to do it. I know what you mean, it works on my Jeep too; I plug it in,       get the code, and by the time I unplug it the light goes off (temporarily.)              It's still a hassle though. I wish the state would stop requiring the check       engine light to be part of the inspection. It's not making anyone any safer.              --- Mystic BBS v1.12 A49 2023/04/30 (Windows/64)        * Origin: JoesBBS.Com, Telnet:23 SSH:22 HTTP:80 (1:342/200)       SEEN-BY: 105/81 106/201 128/187 129/14 305 153/7715 154/110 218/700       SEEN-BY: 226/30 227/114 229/110 114 206 300 307 317 400 426 428 470       SEEN-BY: 229/700 705 266/512 291/111 292/854 320/219 322/757 342/200       SEEN-BY: 342/202 396/45 460/58 633/280 712/848 902/26 5075/35       PATH: 342/200 229/426           |
