   I heard the rationale behind it... It was put into the constitution as a check   
   against a possible check against a failed justice system...   
      
   Lets just say for arguments sake  that Nelson Mandela was in an American   
   jail... A President could look at that case and pardon him.    
      
   It was created for this exact reason.   
      
   Fast forward to Joe Biden... Something went off the rails.   
      
   I just think they shouldn't do it if the President has Alzheimer's and these   
   are done with the use of an Auto-Pen and the President has no clue that these   
   were granted.   
      
   BTW, there have been several Presidents who have pardoned large groups of   
   People...   
      
   Andrew Johnson pardoned 7,654 people, a lot were ex-Confederates ....    
      
   Daddy Trump pardoned 1700 people... 1500 were January 6th people who were in   
   jail for 4 years on misdemeanor trespassing with no court date in sight.   
   Pardons OK Auto-Pens BAD.
