   I wasn't aware of that. It's a good point. Do they really care if people buy   
   new computers these days, with all the smartphones/tablets/chromebooks that   
   are in circulation? Probably not! I don't know anyone (personally) who still   
   sits in front of the computer all day like I do.   
      
   You're right to suspect a connection to AI's demand, but how could us   
   upgrading our GPUs benefit the evil AI people? Maybe they expect to eventually   
   have their AI more directly connected to our computers. There already is some   
   kind of "Claude on your desktop" for top tier Claude subscribers.
