   Remember, we are talking about people who believe that they are above the law,   
   so they don't bother finding these things out believing that they will simply   
   get a "pass" later.

   But I think a good argument can be made that such action was an "official duty"   
   of the office (i.e. taking out a terrorist leader).

   I don't think that the immunity clause has really gotten its "day in court" so   
   there's a lot of questions over how far it goes.   
      
   But we haven't had Presidents who thought that they were that far above the law   
   before either.

   I think the plan is to reduce the "scope of attack" here.  If the midterms   
   knock out a bunch of socialist patsies, that just makes things easier.   
      
   And they can spend the next year or so building up cases and maybe make some of   
   these swamp creatures go to ground - where they can't do anymore harm, or have   
   less protections.
