Just because Democrats passed a law? Who cares        RL> AT> about the law when you're a scammer? It doesn't add up.        RL>         RL> Well, it could add up.        RL>         RL> Scammers call many, many people, they don't get many "hits". And even        RL> fewer of those will fall for their scam. Then they have to pay for the        RL> calls, so they need to make enough on the scam to make it worth their        RL> while. If they get charged with crime, maybe that puts it over their        RL> "worth my time" threshold.              I understand your logic, but most of the scammers I've dealt with seem to be       calling from Jamaica and/or Nigeria. They literally have nothing to lose. So       why would they (assuming I'm right about where they were calling from)       suddenly cease fire in wake of Democrat-passed legislation?              It seems like the Democrats called their Nigerian friends and said "Guys, no       more phone calls. We need to make it look like our legislation was useful. So       now hit those old people with some USPS scams instead!"              --- Mystic BBS v1.12 A49 2023/04/30 (Windows/64)        * Origin: JoesBBS.Com, Telnet:23 SSH:22 HTTP:80 (1:342/200)       SEEN-BY: 105/81 106/201 128/187 129/14 305 153/7715 154/110 218/700       SEEN-BY: 226/30 227/114 229/110 206 300 307 317 400 426 428 700 705       SEEN-BY: 266/512 291/111 292/854 320/219 322/757 342/200 202 396/45       SEEN-BY: 460/58 633/280 712/848 902/26 5075/35       PATH: 342/200 229/426           |
