      MSGID: 1:135/250@fidonet 68674bd3       PID: C-NET AMIGA BBS 5.36b       On Thu 3-Jul-2025 8:08a, Ib Joe@1:342/200.0 said to Brent Hendricks:       IJ> On 03 Jul 2025, Rug Rat said the following...                     IJ> Justice ACB put it best in saying yes... Presidents aren't above the law,       IJ> either are Judges. And District Judges have exceeded their authority.              Except for one problem. Cases "in general" do not immediately come before the       supreme court. The cases start in the lower courts, then work their way       through the appellate courts. Then SCOTUS makes the ultimate ruleing on       weather the lower/appealate courts ruling is ultimately constitutional.              So saying the lower Federal Judge overstepped their bounds is a bit       disingenuous. As they are the first cog in the machinary.               Now.. I could stray off topic, and go into some other areas where there have       been rather strange SCOTUS decisions of late that are streching the       interpretation of the Constitution and Bill Of Rights it was based on, but I       will stop myself.              Tarrifs..... Tarrifs.....              Congress has the primary authority to impose tarrifs. The purpose of the       Execute branch is to EXECUTE those tarrifs through treaties.              So far, the tarrifs have come straight from the Executive branch through       executive orders. Congress has ceded that authority either outright through       law, or by innaction.               Rug Rat (Brent Hendricks)       Blog and Forums - www.catracing.org       IMAGE BBS! 3.0 - bbs.catracing.org 6400       C-Net Amiga BBS - bbs.catracing.org 6840       --- CNet/5        * Origin: The Rat's Den BBS (1:135/250)       SEEN-BY: 1/120 18/0 103/705 104/119 105/81 106/201 114/10 116/116       SEEN-BY: 120/616 123/0 25 180 525 755 3001 3002 124/5016 128/187 129/14       SEEN-BY: 129/305 135/0 115 205 220 250 363 366 385 388 390 391 153/757       SEEN-BY: 153/7715 154/10 30 50 110 700 203/0 218/700 220/20 30 90       SEEN-BY: 221/0 6 222/2 226/18 30 44 50 227/114 229/110 206 300 307       SEEN-BY: 229/310 317 400 426 428 700 705 240/1120 5832 250/1 263/1       SEEN-BY: 266/512 275/1000 280/464 5003 5006 291/111 292/854 8125 301/1       SEEN-BY: 310/31 320/219 322/757 341/66 234 342/200 396/45 423/120       SEEN-BY: 460/58 256 1124 467/888 633/280 712/848 1321 770/1 902/26       SEEN-BY: 2320/105 3634/0 12 24 27 56 57 58 60 5020/400 5054/30 5075/35       PATH: 135/250 115 3634/12 154/10 280/464 460/58 229/426           |
