Russia made the same mistakes.              But there's another significant parallel unfolding in the world right now that       points back to the same period in the past. Just look at how Hitler came to       power democratically in the 1930s and then dismantled democracy. Now look at       how Trump is doing the same in the US!              What I want to say with this is what Paul Warburg also expressed in his words:       Apparently, we are incapable of learning from our mistakes.              In 1938, no one recognized Hitler's enormous ambitions. (And Stalin's, but he       later became our "ally", so we stopped talking about that, and the Winter War       was almost forgotten.)              In 2025, few people want to see Putin's enormous ambition.              Putin loudly states that he wants all of Ukraine and that it won't end there.       He himself says that he wants to bring the Russian world into what was once       the USSR's sphere of influence. Everything that was once Russian must become       Russian again. He says it, but almost no one wants to hear it. Because hearing       it means that you ALSO have to agree with OR concede to the dictator, OR arm       yourself against him.              But Putin and Lavrov seem like such respectable gentlemen...              This was literally said to me by someone who wants "peace": Just close your       eyes to the psychopath's endless ambition and see what comes next. They'd       rather do that than admit that they are for armament and potentially a war       because they want to stop Russian ambitions.              The peace movement will bring us the next world war, if it hasn't already       started. Purely because we are AGAIN making the mistake of not stopping the       psychopath with a large army in time.               .       --- SBBSecho 3.28-Linux        * Origin: End Of The Line BBS - endofthelinebbs.com (1:124/5016)       SEEN-BY: 19/25 38 105/81 106/201 987 124/0 5016 128/187 129/14 305       SEEN-BY: 130/330 153/7715 154/110 218/700 226/30 227/114 229/110 206       SEEN-BY: 229/300 307 317 400 426 428 700 705 266/512 280/464 291/111       SEEN-BY: 292/854 320/219 322/757 342/200 387/18 25 396/45 460/58 633/280       SEEN-BY: 712/848 902/26 5075/35       PATH: 124/5016 396/45 229/426           |
