   You'd think that maybe there would have been a consideration to allow   
   configuring the audio for the beep.   I mean, there are certainly a lot of   
   options for fonts and colours.  But the audio was overlooked?  :(   
      
   I actually *do* have Windows Sounds disabled.  Sound Scheme=No Sounds.  But   
   Apoint forces one out.  Maybe they're doing it with an Ascii BEL char, or ^G ?   
      
   I'm going to try this little trick at the CMD line:    
      
           net stop beep   
      
   [some time passes..]   
      
   YEP.  That works!  I had a few unread messages addressed to me in another   
   echo, and I didn't hear a peep!   
      
   Added BONUS:  no more beep at the EOF in the OXP editor!
