UPDATE: Now I know what you mean by "tick". Before, I wasn't sure what I
was supposed to look for. The symbol you are refering to is *thinner*
than the usual text, and therefore not very noticeable by me.

Maybe with the wonderful utf-8 and extended char support in oxp you could
have have shown me the symbol to look for: û (see how thin it is?)

BTW, that's actually a square-root sysmbol to me. And, I now realize that
folks in the UK say "tick" for a checkmark.

UPDATE: Yes, I was always selecting the .Z## version of the archive. BUT,
at that time, I did not have the Conf/External/Unpacker properly set up.

I found this on my system:

   UnZip 5.52 of 28 February 2005, by Info-ZIP. Maintained by C. Spieler.

..and copied that to the OpenXP root directory.

The next time I went through the Add Nodelist routine, everything seemed
   to work.

Now I can S)earch for a name (or a partial name) and oxp gives me choices.

And.. the polling doesn't lock anymore as before.

   Regards,
