Do you have a Netmail area, it should look something like this:
   "August Abolins@2:221/1.58"

If you have, then there's got to be mail in there, otherwise, OpenXP
   wouldn't have automatically created it.

The default View Mode for all message lists is "New", as in "new
messages since your last poll". Before going any further, I would
strongly advise you to change the default View Mode to "All". You do
this by going to "Config/Options/User interface". Press with the
cursor in the "Show mode" field and select "All" from the list and
then press . Then, your way through all the other
settings. You will then need to exit and re-start OpenXP for your
   change to take effect.

If you do have a Netmail area, go into it and see if there are any
messages there now. If you don't have a Netmail area then maybe your
uplink hasn't sent an areafix response yet(highly unlikely). Look in
OpenXP's FILES directory to see if there are any mail packets in
there. If there are, then something's definitely adrift.

   To be continued .....

   Regards,
   Martin
