   Yes, that's a good possibility :)

   So, with the option enabled, the internal nodelist processor merges the     
   diff with the existing nodelist, whereas with the option disabled, the     
   existing nodelist is overwritten by the new full nodelist. Am I     
   understanding this correctly?
