Hello Stephen!              On 03.03.17 at 12:28, Stephen Haffly wrote to Martin Foster:       > On (02 Mar 17) Martin Foster wrote to All...              MF>> Greetings All!              MF>> Anyone here? :-)              > Nobody here but us chickens, boss.              Wow, wasn't really expecting a response, let alone three! :-))              [..]       MF>> --- OpenXP 5.0.28              > Are you running a Linux version of OpenXP? How well does it work?              Yes, Im running the 64-Bit version in a VM under Mageia5 and it works        extremely well, as does the 32-Bit version.              Just to bring you up to speed, OpenXP "died" many years ago(circa 2008)        and lay dormant until late 2013 when, much to my surprise(and joy), a        German chappie re-started development. Since then, there have been many        new releases as the "old" code was somewhat buggy. The biggest new feature        so far is support for SSL/TLS encrypted connections. The Fido side of        things has had no work done on it simply because it didn't need it ;-)              The new project is hosted on SourceForge:       https://sourceforge.net/projects/openxp5              I'm currently knocking up a simple Web site:       http://openxp.uk              After many years away from Fido, it's so *very* refreshing to see that        there's still a bit of interest and my dearest wish is to see it make a        comeback. Thanks for all your replies guys.              Regards,       Martin              --- OpenXP 5.0.28        * Origin: OpenXP HQ (UK) (2:240/2188.31)    |
